Did you have any hot dogs over the weekend? Nathan’s annual Hot Dog Eating Contest took place over the holiday weekend, and while it was held inside, closed to spectators, and only had limited contestants, it was still one for the record books. For the 13th time in the last 14 years, competitive eaterJoey Chestnut took home the title and a new world record for eating 75 hot dogs, with buns, in 10 minutes. For the women,Miki Sudo claimed the winning title, eating 48½ dogs and buns in 10 minutes to win her seventh straight victory. (People)

Did lockdown kill the bra? Lots of women ditched their bras during stay-at-home, and some predict the liberation is here to stay. “I just don’t see bras making a comeback after this,” Buzzfeed writer Tomi Obarotweetedback in in May. Her tweet has been “liked” more than half a million times. (The Guardian)

Miss hanging out in your favorite coffee shop? A man in Orange County, California, did too -- so he built his own … in his backyard. Ed Astrid, who is a contractor, built himself a tiny coffee shop he named La Vida. The 120-square-foot shop can fix six people inside and two outside. It features a small fireplace, bookshelf, board games, TV, wood counter, stools, a mini-fridge, pastry display, and – of course – a coffee maker. There’s even a chalkboard menu with personalized drinks named after Ed's family members. (Insider)
