Florida Needs Python Hunters And Thousands Apply For The Job

So for years now Florida has had a real problem with invasive species, and their biggest has been the python snake. So they have been hiring bounty hunters and actual hunters to help catch them. But the snakes are still striving, so Florida is in need of more python hunters. They have had around 2,600 applicants worldwide hoping to become a “python removal agent” with the South Florida Water Management District. They even had a guy from Iran apply for the job! The 38-year-old man currently works as an electrical engineer in Iran but says his real passion is snakes.  Apparently, the man spent his youth catching vipers in the mountains and kept the venomous snakes in a plastic box and enjoyed playing with them. No word on how many job openings they have, but it looks as though people are interested! (Hard pass for me! Lol) Here's a video of some of the bounty hunters at work in Florida.
