Man, this is when I'm glad to be living in the Carolinas! Right now, Thousands of Oklahoma Brown tarantulas are migrating across southeastern Colorado. This is the stuff of nightmares! The spiders are traveling an unknown distance in search of a mate. The good news is that the tarantulas don’t travel in herds so it isn’t common to see a lot of them in one place. They say the best time to watch them migrate is now through the first couple days in October at dusk on the roads. Hard pass for me, I'm not getting close to those things! Here's a video on this spider's seasonal activity.
