Brad Keselowski showed no signs of slowing down, winning Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the Goodyear 400 and further tightening his grip on the race at Darlington.

Darlington Raceway is once again living up to its reputation as “The Track Too Tough to Tame,” and through the opening stages of the 2026 Goodyear 400, Brad Keselowski has been the driver setting the pace.

Keselowski surged to the front during the opening stage after a smart pit strategy put him in clean air, and he made the most of it. The RFK Racing driver led the majority of Stage 1, holding off a strong group of challengers to claim the stage win and establish himself as the early race leader. His effort placed him atop the laps‑led chart as the race moved into Stage 2.

The race has already featured multiple lead changes and long green‑flag runs, putting tire management and track position at a premium. Darlington’s abrasive surface has once again punished mistakes, while rewarding drivers who can balance aggression with patience over the long haul.

Behind Keselowski, several contenders have taken turns at the front. Kyle Larson showed early speed, while Tyler Reddick and Ryan Blaney remained factors despite various pit road challenges. Traffic, pit timing, and restarts have played major roles, making it difficult for anyone to dominate for long stretches.

As the race continues, strategy will be everything. With pit cycles still ahead and the Lady in Black demanding respect, nothing is guaranteed. Keselowski’s early control has put him in an excellent position, but Darlington has a way of rewriting the script when it matters most.

Stay tuned as the Goodyear 400 unfolds — because at this track, survival can be just as important as speed.
