TMSG: One "Strong Man" Used His Strength to Save a Man's Life

After a jeep flipped upside-down, a Michigan weightlifter used his strength to lift the vehicle off of the man trapped inside.

Ryan Belcher, 29, was at work when he heard the crash. He ran outside to see a Jeep Cherokee flipped onto it's roof and a handful of people trying to help the man inside get out. The man was pinned to his vehicle by a sign pole and couldn't feel his legs.

'From there, I just kind of got tunnel vision,' Belcher explained. 'And then I grabbed the back, where the window was smashed out and lifted up and started pushing.'

Belcher has squatted 950lbs, bench-pressed 530lbs and has dead-lifted 800lbs in competition. Using his strength he was able to push the two ton car roughly 3 feet off the man before medics arrived.

Belcher told WXYZ, 'If I could describe it in one word, it would be humbled... this could have been anybody, it could have been me. And just getting home to my children after that is all I thought about... I'd hope if it was me in there, somebody would help me the way I did them.'

Both drivers were taken to a local hospital and the incident is still being investigated.
