Keith Urban Surprises Fan in Hospital, Sings at Her Bedside

Before taking the stage in Toledo, Ohio, Keith Urban made surprise hospital visit to the bedside of a devoted fan.

Urban visited Mercy Health St. Vincent Hospital to see Marissa English who is currently in hospice care. According to local news outlets, English's health is rapidly declining, she has a myriad of health conditions including "water and an inoperable cyst on her brain, severe scoliosis, and cerebral palsy."

However, those things over her 25 years of living haven't stopped her from being a huge Keith Urban fan. She has memorabilia from a few of his concerts and has a Keith Urban t-shirt on a pillow that's with her all the time. She had tickets to his show in Toledo, but as it came time, everyone knew she wasn't going to be able to make it to the show in person.

Her nurses started a social media campaign to get him to visit the hospital instead, and the message made it's way to Urban. He came to visit English and can be seen in photos and videos kneeling by her bedside singing his song "Blue Ain't Your Color." English was all smiles throughout the entire intimate performance.

Later on that evening, in front of the sold-out crowd at the Huntington Center, Urban spoke about meeting English saying,

"A beautiful girl named Marissa... who I truly think is my biggest fan [...] her family is here and so are some of her pediatric ICU nurses [...] we're going to dedicate this whole show tonight to her, to Marissa."
