“A new chapter begins.”
The War and Treaty announced details about their newest chapter on Thursday (May 7).
Husband-and-wife duo Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter confirmed in a post on Instagram that their new album, The Story of Michael and Tanya, will arrive on June 19. Before “stepping into this new season,” The War and Treaty debuted their new single from the upcoming record, “Don’t Say Goodbye.” They described the powerful ballad as “a song from the heart. A piece of our story. A reminder that some love stays long after the last note.”

The Story of Michael and Tanya follows the duo’s 2025 studio record, Plus One. Months after they release the new project, The War and Treaty will take the historic stage at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, “a sacred room for a sacred story.” The performance will take place on September 13.
