Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have reportedly separated.
The celebrity couple have apparently been living separately “since the beginning of summer,” TMZ was first to report on Monday afternoon (September 29), citing “multiple sources with direct knowledge.” The unnamed sources told TMZ that Kidman is “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone,” and “Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home.”
Another source who was not named confirmed the separation, and added to PEOPLE that “Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another. She didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
Urban, 57, and Kidman, 58, met at a gala in 2005 in Los Angeles, California. They got married the following year, on June 25, 2006 in Sydney, Australia. Since then, Urban and Kidman have welcomed two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
Neither Urban nor Kidman as publicly addressed the reports of a separation as of publication time.
