Pop superstar Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made their first public appearance since announcing their engagement during the college football game between the Cincinnati Bearcats and Nebraska Cornhuskers at Arrowhead Stadium Thursday (August 28) night.

Kelce and his brother, retired former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, who both played for the Bearcats, walked the field prior to kickoff and shared a luxury suite with Swift during the game. Nebraska defeated Cincinnati, 20-17, in both teams' first matchup of the 2025 college football season.

Swift announced her engagement in a joint Instagram post with Kelce featuring several photos of the proposal.

"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," she wrote in the caption of the post, which had more than 28.7 million likes in less than 24 hours.

The engagement reportedly took place two weeks prior at a garden at Kelce's home in Lee's Summit, Missouri, his father, Ed, told ABC News 5. Jason Kelce also thanked Taylor for her appearance on the show, which officially earned the world record for 'most concurrent views for a podcast on YouTube' after the livestreamed episode got 1.3 million total concurrent views on August 13, according to GuinnessWorldRecords.com.

"Thanks to the one and only Taylor Swift for hopping on and deciding to talk with two complete idiots that don't know anything about the music industry," he said in the episode tease Wednesday morning. "And it was a doozy! So, get ready for a much lower bar this week."
