The Cleveland Browns reportedly fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and offensive line coach Andy Dickerson, but are expected to extend head coach Kevin Stefanski, following their season-ending blowout loss to the AFC North Division rival Baltimore Ravens Saturday (January 4) night, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
"Two-time NFL coach of the year Kevin Stefanski will be back, with a remodeled offensive staff that returns to the philosophy that yielded 11 wins with five different starting quarterbacks in 2023," Pelissero wrote after reporting Dorsey's firing.
The Browns went 3-14 and averaged 15.2 points per game during the 2024 NFL regular season, which concluded with a 35-10 loss to the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium Saturday night.
Stefanski was coming off a season in which he won the Associated Press NFL Coach of the Year award for a second time -- having previously won during his first season with the franchise -- after leading Cleveland to a playoff berth in 2023. The 42-year-old has gone 40-44 during five seasons as the Browns' head coach, which included an 11-5 finish during his debut season in 2020.
Dorsey, a former national champion quarterback with the Miami Hurricanes, was hired by the Browns this past offseason after being fired by the Buffalo Bills midway through the 2023 season following a 5-5 start. Cleveland finished last in the AFC North and currently has the worst record in the NFL.
