"Connecticut State Police confirmed to PEOPLE that an Aerolite 103, single-engine, single-seat ultralight aircraft crashed into a wooded area adjacent to the Riconn Airport in Rhode Island after taking off from there earlier. Stefanik was piloting the plane."
