It's that time again for one of the most fun days of the year!!! The 8th annual Micky Finn's Beer Festival is this Saturday, May, 20th 3p-7p. You can pick up tickets the day of the event at the event, or head over to one of your two Micky Finn's locations to get your tickets now. Tickets are 1 for $25 or 2 for $40. Totally worth it with all the delicious brews that are going to be there, as well as the food, and live music. There will also be raffles and silent auctions...and it all happens to be for a great cause! Something else that is pretty cool, is this year local doggie treat baker, Stephanie Giannetti, will be selling her Whoa-D's cookies at the event and a portion of the proceeds benefit Bryan's battle. This is what makes the beer festival so amazing. Not only is it fun, you get to jam out to some great tunes and try some brews, but you get to help someone in the process. This is all thanks to Bryan Holt, the General Manager at Micky Finn's. Bryan started this event 8 years ago for his friend Amy Hardy, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. They went to college together and were great friends and he wanted to help her out any way he could...thus the Beer Festival. Sadly, she passed away a few years later. She is the reason why he started it in the first place and always wanted to do a beer festival. After the first year he felt it was important to keep it going and to help someone else in need. In previous years the festival has been for charities, our town, and the people in it. So thank you Bryan Holt for all your hard work, and everyone involved. Nothing greater than a wonderful community coming together to show love and support...and of course have a little fun while doing it!
