Walmart stores in the southeastern United States are recalling certain packages of Organic Marketside Spring Mix after a Florida resident found a bat in their salad.
The recall affects Fresh Express Organic Marketside Spring Mix salads sold in clear containers with the production code G089B19 and a best-if-used date of April 14, 2017. Fresh Express has recalled packages of the salad mix that were sold at Walmarts in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
Anyone with the salad in their homes should discard the package and call the Fresh Express Consumer Response Center toll-free at (800) 242-5472 during the hours of 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Time.
