School Dismissals and delay's

Florence County School District One

Due to the threat of inclement weather, all Florence One Schools will be dismissed early today.  Elementary students will be dismissed at 11:10 a.m.; middle and high school students will be dismissed at 12 noon.  Faculty and staff members will be dismissed from schools after all students have left the school buildings.  All after-school activities and programs have been cancelled for today. 

Florence One Administrative Offices will be closed at 2:00 p.m. today as well.

Florence County School District Five

Florence County School District Five will release school early April 5, 2017 due to the threat of severe weather. Johnsonville Elementary School will release at 11:30 a.m. and Johnsonville Middle and High Schools at 12:15 p.m.


Florence County School District Two

Due to the forecasted inclement weather, Florence County School District 2 schools will dismiss early April 5, 2017, at 11:30 a.m


Florence County School District Three

Due to the threat of severe weather, Florence County School District Three will dismiss students early today and will operate on a one-hour delay for students only on Thursday. Florence County School district 3 Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. The Alternative Center for Education will dismiss at 12:10 p.m. Ronald E. McNair Junior High and J. Paul Truluck Intermediate schools will dismiss at 12:15 p.m. and Lake City High will dismiss at 12:40 p.m.


Florence County School District Four

Due to pending weather, Florence County School District Four will dismiss today, April 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. for students. Staff may leave at 1:45pm. There will be a one hour delay for students, Thursday, April 6. All staff report at 7:30 a.m


Darlington County Schools

All after-school student activities are cancelled for Wednesday, April 5, due to potential bad weather. This includes all home and away athletic, academic and extracurricular student activities this afternoon and evening. Today was already scheduled as an early dismissal day for students so the normal early dismissal schedule after lunch will still be in place. 

Afternoon 4K registration in Darlington County School District, which was originally scheduled for today from 12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. at several schools, is also canceled. That registration has been rescheduled for tomorrow, April 6, at the same locations and the same time.


Marlboro County School District

Due to the threat of high winds from the south with potential for gusts of 50-60 miles per hour, Marlboro County School District is announcing that schools for students and staff will be dismissed early today, April 5, 2017 at the following times: McColl Elementary Middle School 1:10 p.m.; School of Discovery 12:45 p.m.; Clio Elementary Middle School 1 p.m.; Blenheim Elementary Middle School 1:15 p.m.; Marlboro County High School 1:15 p.m Bennettsville Primary School 12:45 p.m.; Bennettsville Intermediate School 1 p.m.; Wallace Elementary Middle School 1 p.m.; AMIKids Infinity 2:15 p.m.


Florence Darlington Technical College

Due to the inclement weather that is projected to impact the area all classes beginning at 1 p.m. or later will be cancelled.
